Problem:


Logged on user's name is not displayed correctly in Outlook after a name change. It displays the user's previous name, not the new one.


Example: Janet Boswell changed her name to Janet DeRuiter, yet after logging on as "jederuiter" her Outlook still shows her as JEBoswell.



This happens because the user is using the current Outlook profile, which was setup with the old name. No one else sees this name, only the logged-on user. It's for display purposes only, to show which mailbox is accessed.


If the old name bothers the users, the only way to remove it is to create a new Outlook profile from Control Panel and download the mail and set up the mailbox and add the signature.
