Attention LAN Civil 3D 2023 Users,

It has come to our attention the Pipe Network Catalogs may not be properly mapped in the current Civil 3D 2023 program setup. To check that your application is properly mapped, please follow steps below.

1.    While in Civil 3D 2023, select “Home” tab, select “Create Design” pull down menu and drill down to “Set Pipe Network Catalog”.

2.    Select “Set Pipe Network Catalog”, the following dialogue box should appear.

If any of the fields are blank, a properly setup Catalog Settings should match dialogue box above. The full Catalog Folder: field path should read…. C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2023\enu\Pipes Catalog\

The other two fields are dropdown selectable after the correct path is entered

Properly setup Catalog Settings should match dialogue box above.

If your “Pipe Network Catalog Settings” box is blank, you must browse to the “Pipes Catalog” folder as shown in path above and select “Open”. Set proper Pipe and Structure Catalogs to match the above dialogue box.

Some users have been unable to navigate to “ProgramData” folder on their C:\ drive as it is set as a Hidden folder in Windows. To make that folder visible, user must open a session of Windows Explorer and Toggle <On> the “Hidden items” setting shown below.

Once that is set, users should be able to set the correct path for Pipe Networks Catalog.

After you have set the path for the Catalog Settings, close down Civil 3D 2023 (Computer Reboot NOT necessary). Reopen Civil 3D 2023, verify the Pipe Network Catalog Settings path is correct and make any settings changes necessary.

Direct any questions to a Helpdesk ticket. Thank you
