Even thought accessing SharePoint folders via the web browser is feature rich, there are reasons to want to access these using File Explorer.  Keyboard shortcuts and right click menu items are good examples of these.  The following describes how to create permanent links in File Explorer to SharePoint document containers (a.k.a. folders).  



Instructions:

  1. Open your web browser (Edge) and navigate to the SharePoint documents container
  2. Click the Sync button at the top and follow the prompts 



 

Check the box and click Open

 

You should then receive confirmation that the folder is syncing

 

Close this dialog box



You should now see the SharePoint folder under the 'LEO A DALY' grouping in File Explorer...
