Please try this on one system that you know is experiencing the problem, just to make sure it resolves it. Let us know whether or not it works. From there, we can figure out next steps. I will be around today and the rest of the week if you would like to discuss.

  1. For the Newforma Project Center client, there is only one location on the workstation that the Redemption.dll file needs to be updated. On the end user’s machine close all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc) and any Newforma applications (NPC client, Revit Add-In, Newforma Viewer, etc).
  2. In Windows File Explorer navigate to the following directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Newforma\Twelfth Edition\Project Center
  3. Locate and rename both Redemption.dll and Redemption64.dll to .dll_OLD.
  4. Identify the version of redemption that you need.
    1. 32bit Office users will need to use the redemption.dll
    2. 64bit Office users will need to use the redemption64.dll
  5. For 32bit Office users, simply drop the updated redemption.dll into the Project Center folder.
  6. For 64bit Office users, drop the updated redemption64.dll into the Project Center folder, then rename it to redemption.dll (this is because Newforma only looks for the redemption.dll file name).
  7. Run the following batch file to re-register the new version of Redemption.dll: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Newforma\Twelfth Edition\Project Center\Registry\Register Redemption.bat".
  8. Next launch Outlook and Newforma and verify in the ProjectCenter log that the version of Redemption is showing as the version that you just installed. Look for a log entry log about 110 lines down that states:

Redemption File Version (32Bit): C:\Program Files (x86)\Newforma\Twelfth Edition\Project Center\redemption.dll <RedemptionFileVersion><YourDesiredVersion>
