You can connect to your workstation from a personal computer at home by following these steps to create a VPN session.


Prerequisites


Personal Windows computer with administrative rights.


Install Cisco AnyConnect


Open AnyConnect and logon to the network

  1. Open your Windows Start menu and type Anyconnect and run Cisco AnyConnect.
  2. In the address bar of AnyConnect, type rdpconnect.leoadaly.com, and then press Connect.
  3. Enter your username and password, and then clock OK.


Upon successful login, Windows will show a notification and the AnyConnect icon will display a gold padlock.



Open Remote Desktop Connection

  1. Open your Windows Start menu and type RDC.
  2. Open Remote Desktop Connection and click Show Options in the bottom left corner of the dialog box.
  3. In the General tab, Enter the Computer name that you want to connect to.
  4. Enter your User name prepended by ladco\.
  5. Place a checkmark in the Allow me to save credentials box.
  6. Click Save, click Connect, and then enter your password.


Note that you will be presented with certificate verification. Place a checkmark on Don't ask me again for connections to this computer, and then click Yes.



Additional Customization (optional)


If you have multiple monitors. you can go to the Display tab of RDC and check Use all my monitors for the remote session.
