Project wise - Excel files load to the default Excel (Open) screen, but do not open and get error message about associations

To resolve:

Open Excel, go to Options, Click Add-ins, look for manage: at the bottom, select COM Add-ins from the list of drop down options, click Go...

Highlight "ProjectWise iDesktop Integration"

Note: Make sure the check the list box to the left of "ProjectWise iDesktop Integration"

Click OK, Excel files should now open.
