Problem: user logs onto her computer and can start desktop icons OK but left-clicking on the Windows startup icon does nothing. Program files do not come up. No error. Nothing happens. Same for the IT tech helping her through Dameware.
NOT GETTING THIS:
However, using RDP to remote into the system works fine. Startup options works. If the original user RDPs into her system the start up menus appears.
This is not a Windows profile issue; it's a video driver problem. In the above situations the video driver is typically very old.
Download and install the latest driver and the problem should go away.
