Check the system’s environment variables to determine status of Autodesk environment variables.
To do this, use one of the following methods…
- In Search, search for and then select: System (Control Panel)
- Click the Advanced system settings link.
- Click Environment Variables.
- Start > Run type in MSINFO32
- Expand Software Environment
- Click on Environment Variables (Note: this can be done remotely using the View > Remote Computer…)
- You should see the following variables (they are not grouped together)
- ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE
- FLEXLM_TIMEOUT
FNP_IP_PRIORITY
RSACCELERATOR2016 (this is typical)
- RSACCELERATOR2018 (this is typical)
- RSACCELERATOR2019 (this is typical)

RSACCELERATOR2020 (this is typical)
- To repair or add missing variables, do one of the following…
- If remoted into the system either using RDP or direct hands-on, open File Explorer and browse to \\ladco\shares\software\Autodesk.
- Right-click on the file ADeskEnVarsbyIP.cmd and use the Run as Administrator option
- In the command window that opens, enter in the value for the office location where the computer normally resides and press Enter
- You should briefly see some messages that say SUCCESS: Specified value was saved
OR
- If remoted into the system using Dameware, open File Explorer and browse to \\ladco\shares\software\Autodesk.
- SHIFT+Right-click on the file ADeskEnVars.cmd and use the Run as Different User option and enter your credentials
- In the command window that opens, enter in the value for the office location where the computer normally resides and press Enter
- You should briefly see some messages that say SUCCESS: Specified value was saved
- Confirm the correct values were added
