Problem: PDFs come out with gibberish characters. Most OK but some are unreadable.
Solution:
- Verify which PDF writer is being used. This should NOT happen with Bluebeam.
- In the above example the default PDF writer was Adobe PDF. The user had Adobe Creative Cloud installed. This is an old, known issue with Adobe.
- To fix in in Adobe go to Devices under Windows Settings. Under Printers & Scanners choose Adobe PDF. Select Printing Preferences. Uncheck the box that says “Rely on System Fonts only; do not use document fonts.”
- Save and try again. Problem should be resolve.
