Problem: Outlook calendar various issues:


  • Reserved meetings not displaying on target calendar.
  • Meeting invitation responses not arriving to meeting creator.
  • Can't change/update meetings on conference room calendar.


We've seen a trend lately and the cause has always been the same.

People are using a conference room calendar directly to create meetings and reservations

instead of using their calendars and inviting conference rooms and attendees.


The first method can work but it can be unreliable. The incidents I mentioned at the top

were caused by people using a conference room calendar directly. In the case of meeting

invitation responses not going to the creator of the meeting, they went to the conference room

calendar instead, as it was the source of the email not the user.
