From the old system logged in as the prior user... 

  1. Open the Registry editor
  2. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Ribbon
  3. Right click on the 'Ribbon' key on the left side and choose "export"
  4. The Export Registry File dialog will appear on the screen
  5. Give it a name and save the file on the desktop
  6. Copy/Move this file to a location you can access from the new system
  7. Log into the new system and double click on the new reg file
  8. Respond yes when prompted to add it
  9. Close and open Explorer if it was open (you may need to sign out and then back on)
