Problem: Windows File Explorer is maximized. When trying to resize the window it shrinks very small and flickers and locks up. Can't minimize or cloe.

Solution: This is a Windows 10 bug.

  1. Launch File Explorer as fully maximized window.
  2. From Ribbon menu open VIEW tab and go to PANES group.
  3. Click on the NAVIGATION PANE drop down and unchecked "Navigation Pane" box.
  4. You might have to close File Explorer after this. Reopen. Resize the window. Then follow steps b through c except this time "check" the "Navigation Pane" box.
  5. Close File Explorer and open. It should work normally now.
