To create the Hotspots for navigation, the project must be loaded on a webserver. I tend to use the Dev Server for this to make it easier and to not have unfinished pages on production. Navigate to the tour_editor.html in the project directory via Firefox.

If on the editor you will see the menu at the top of the page. Go ahead and click add hotspot.

An arrow and text will appear on the screen. You can drag the arrow until you have it placed in the correct spot. Now remember this is a 360 degree image so you can drag it behind the starting point, or down below the starting point. Once you have it set in the spot you want, go ahead and click done.

Now it will ask which scene you want the hotspot to jump you to. You can add several hotspots but they can become distracting so use caution, I tend to add only one to a scene. Once you select the scene click done. Set the rest of your hotspots for the project. You have the capability to move or delete a hotspot if you decide you don’t like its placement. Unfortunately you cannot correct the scene if you chose the wrong one at that step, just delete it and place a new hotspot.

Once all hotspots are placed to your liking, click edit tour.xml. We need to copy all the text here to replace it in the tour.xml in the project directory on the web server. You can try to save tour.xml to overwrite the file, but the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox hasn’t been working for saving. Once you replace the tour.xml text, save it and now load the tour.html from the web server, the hotspots should be as you placed them.
