This seems to be due to the printer config location begin misdirected or possibly forgotten but
A few things to look at here:
- Make sure you have a valid default Windows printer set for your Windows user account.
- It appears that you are using a copy if the delivered printer.pltcfg file as it is not in the standard location. If this is indeed a copied version of the file try using the printer.pltcfg file delivered with MicroStation and see if it gives you the same error. C:\ProgramData\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\WorkSpace\System\pltcfg\printer.pltcfg
Open the printer.pltcfg file in Notepad (or other text editor)
Search for the line that begins with the string <Driver>
It should read <Driver>SYSPRINTER</Driver>
If your driver line says something else make a copy of the file and change the value.
