(I WOULD SUGGEST YOU TRY THIS ON YOUR OWN MACHINE TO GET A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF IT THEN EXECUTE ON REMOTE MACHINE)
To add datasource to projectwise you’ll need to connect to their registry editor
Type in computer number in the blank space then click ‘Check Names’
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bentley\ProjectWise\10.00\NetworkConfig
You will need to add a key to Dns and DsListing
You will name it according to which Data Source they want to add. Ex: AUSPW, SANPW, FTWPW, DALPW, etc
Add these values to the Data Source according to the office they are trying to add
The Port is a REG_DWORD type and will still be the same because it is linked to 5800
The Server is a REG_SZ and it will be according to the office. Ex: AUSPW, SANPW, etc
You must do the same under DsListing
Dns and DsListing should have the same key values/data source
