While the root of the issue isn't ultimately known, the solution to my understanding seems to be that of Microsoft not trusting the location that a file is located if not in the documents folder. If the file is located in a location (other than the documents folder) it will provide the following error:
Office 365 Not Enough Disk or Memory space error **Cherwell**
